Maxim's low-power SIMO PMICs reduce the size of the system for compact consumer IoT battery-powered products

Maxima MAX77278, MAX776xx and MAX17270 Single-Induction, Multi-Output (SIMO) Power Management Devices (PMICs) provide three independent power rails from a single inductor, eliminating the need to use multiple bulky inductors for wear, fitness monitors, clothing, tractors, sensors , smart home automation hubs and IoT devices. These low power SIMO PMICs are ideal for low battery designers who want to reduce the shape factor and achieve greater system efficiency at the same time.

The MAX77278 offers highly integrated battery charging and charging solutions for low power applications where size and efficiency are critical. The device has a SIMO power boost controller that provides three independently programmable power supplies from a single inductor to reduce the overall size of the solution.

MAX77640 / MAX77641 are low silence (I) currentsP) power solution for applications where size and performance are critical. The unit integrates a 3-output power boost controller, 150 LA LDO, and a 3-channel power driver.

The MAX77680 / MAX77681 are 3-channel SIMO boost controllers that regulate three independent rails using only 3 µA of IP, SIMO improves battery life by replacing inefficient LDOs while competing in efficiency with traditional single-output power.

The MAX17270 is a 3-way folded controller designed for applications requiring efficient multi-delivery control in a very small space. The parts use a current enhancement architecture that regulates three outputs using a single, small 2.2 µH inductor, with efficiency up to 85%.
